A New Princess
It’s time to release artwork for a new character, and as promised, here she is! She hasn’t been introduced in the main story yet (in fact, she hasn’t even been born), though in the near future she will join the story as a new princess of House Vaid.
As a granddaughter of Dominax, can you guess who her parents will be?
Now, obviously, being born this late into VE: Conquest somewhat limits what she’ll be able to accomplish in the current story, though so be it. Her main purpose is intended to come after Conquest, as she’ll be receiving her own side series. The events of her story will directly and drastically impact VE3. (Come back to this post in a few years to realize just how far into the future my plans for the Vaid Empire Universe extends.)
Ironically, although her story is already outlined into the far future, I don’t yet have a name for her. Perhaps I’ll open a poll soon if I cannot decide on which name I like best.
As for the artwork, I’m very satisfied by how she turned out, though it’s likely that I’ll make small alterations before she officially appears in the story, such as adding House Vaid’s symbol to her collar.
Midweek Update
I mentioned in a previous post that I would like to occasionally do midweek updates as a way to discuss my progress. I suppose you could consider this the first one.
Midweek updates like these will only be done during weeks that I feel I have notable progress to discuss, rather than repetitive “I wrote today” posts that add little.
For example, this week, I’d like to point to the wiki entries for both Briza and Aifa, which I’ve recently expanded. Briza’s wiki page will be entirely completed in the next few days, and I will return my focus to Aifa’s when I shift my attention back to Mother of Tentacles.
Those are the wikis that are posted and readable now, though I’ve done a lot of work in the background as well. I’ve created a wiki page for Darmi, as well as several Legends characters like Milir, Driax, and Zalin. They’ll take a little longer to be published and added to The Imperial Archive, though I wanted to take the time here to note that progress with The Archive is indeed being made.
Unfortunately, much of this progress was made before I got sick recently. As mentioned in a previous post, I’ve been keeping a detailed log to document my written wordcount each day. For the past several weeks, I was averaging more than a thousand words each day, sometimes FAR more. Now, while I’ve been sick, my wordcount has dropped drastically. Of course, this is temporary, and I’ve already begun to build back up to my previous wordcount streak.
Schedule Update
Although I mentioned in a previous update that I was sick, I wasn’t aware of how sick I was going to get at the time. Luckily I’m just starting to recover now, though the last few days have left me with total brain fog that has greatly slowed my writing.
I can already tell that the next chapter will require a couple more days before it’s ready, and thus, I want to give you all an early heads up that it will release on Sunday instead of Friday.

I haven’t been myself these past few days, though I’m starting to come back. Being unable to write while sick has served as a reminder of just how much I enjoy writing. These characters, these stories, this universe we’ve all watched expand together, means a great deal to me. Now that I’m recovering, I crave to get back into my usual flow of writing.
