There are two small updates I’d like to discuss. Firstly, to celebrate Halloween, I’m going to release a Halloween inspired Legends Short Story on the 30th. The holiday doesn’t exist in The Vaid Empire Universe, of course, so instead it’s going to be a macabre and morbid story, while still focusing on being arousing. I considered doing an outright horror story, though I wasn’t certain if I wanted to push it quite that far. Who knows? Maybe next year!
In fact, if you all enjoy having themed stories for the holidays, I might continue to do them. For example, perhaps I could do a Dril centered Short Story set in the frozen tundra for Christmas, or something similar. We’ll see.
Secondly, VE: Conquest Chapter 142 was set to release later today. As you can see from the schedule, a Legends Short Story is now going to release instead.
Last week’s delay was sort of a warning shot for this month, to be frank. The abrupt loss of the Subreddit and my account (still no response or fix) dropped a bomb on me. While hardly a catastrophe, it did serve as a large portion of my advertising for these stories, and took quite a lot of time and effort, so it would be a large waste to simply cast aside. I’ll work on recovering it a little longer to see what can be done, though it is what it is.
Along with a few private matters that have also occurred abruptly, it’s clear that releasing Chapter 142 just isn’t going to work out today. I’m disappointed, though honestly, it’s for the best. Two large plot points are about to occur one after the other, and I’m happy to give them a bit more time to develop. There is the upcoming battle in Chapter 142, of course, and 143…oh boy, Chapter 143…
I’m excited for you all to read 142 and 143, though for today, I’m going to focus on editing a Legends Short Story I previously wrote in preparation for a delay like this and ensure it’s polished and ready to release at the end of the day.
I hope you all enjoy both Short Stories, and Chapters 142 and 143 when they release!
