Birth & Early Life

Born in the city of Elmia in 1 AVE, Nafalya was the third legitimate daughter of God Emperor Dominax, and the first child of Concubine Empress Irith. Having been conceived in the throne room of The Grand Pyramid, Nafalya was the focus of her father’s ambitions for the future of The Empire before her birth. Having sensed the potential power a child of his and Irith’s blood may possess, Dominax was disappointed when he held Nafalya for the first time. Though she was just as powerful as her elder sisters, nothing short of an extraordinary successor would be fit for his future designs. For several years, she was acknowledged as her father’s heir, though replaced after the birth of her younger brother, Prince Arinax.

Despite her father’s disappointment, the mere fact of her status as the imperial heir proved to be the final catalyst to solidify a plot to assassinate her mother. Wishing to see her own daughter upon the throne, Concubine Empress Xenia sought to remove her rival, though was ultimately undone before her plans were successful.

The knowledge that her father awaited an alternate heir was a reality Nafalya had little trouble in accepting, remaining a contented and curious child, hardly concerning herself with the expectations or desires of others. As she grew, she quickly displayed a keen talent for stealth, often sneaking through the corridors of The Grand Pyramid unseen. As the first true child of Irith, she was spoiled heavily with attention, often escaping from her mother’s side whenever she sought solitude. She continued to suckle from her mother’s breasts well beyond a typical age, learning to discard the taboos of typical beings.

In 10 AVE, her father led his legions to conquer The Kingdom of Kinia, leaving Irith and her children in Domani to oversee the daily needs of The Empire as its regent. In 11 AVE, Nafalya confided in her mother of her fears regarding her father’s safety in the north, having long experienced the knowledge that even someone as close to her family as Xenia could become a threat. Her mother assisted in removing such fears, yet Nafalya continued to eavesdrop upon everyone around her to learn their secrets.

The Hesian Order

When Kinia fell to The God Emperor’s forces, he returned to Domani in triumph. Reuniting with the three children he had left in the safety of The Capital, he was pleased to see how Nafalya had developed in his absence. He placed her into the care of his advisor, The Grand Master of The Hesian Order of assassins, Lord Hesin, wishing to utilize her natural talents for his purposes. Though she was no longer his heir, he sought to ensure she remained a valuable asset to The Vaid Dynasty, commanding Hesin to train her into a deadly assassin.

More than eager to improve her skills, she delved into her training vigorously. In 12 AVE, during a feast to celebrate the final completion of The Grand Pyramid, she displayed a natural talent in misdirection and manipulation when she pickpocketed a coin purse from Lord Kixanil upon her master’s orders. Returning her prize to Hesin, he granted her an imperial coin as a memento of her success.

Conquest In The North

Later in 12 AVE, The God Emperor marched to war once again, seeking to conquer the entirety of the northern kingdoms. Leaving Princess Vixin in Domani as regent, Nafalya and the rest of her family were permitted to accompany her father, sailing to the shores of Spirexia.

Quiet and observant, Nafalya rarely shared her true thoughts to others, seeking instead to learn the secrets of everyone around her. Always curious, she enjoyed watching people while unseen, savoring solitude.

Usually content, she rarely expressed anger or sadness, utilizing her natural talent with a seductive confidence. She cared little for others, and less for their opinions. Whenever she failed, she never expressed frustration, focusing only on how best to correct her mistakes and improve her skills.

Whatever sentimental emotions she experienced were quickly pushed away, only expressing amusement at the affections of others. Though feeling no hatred, she viewed those around her as potential threats and obstacles, feeling as though life were a game in which she tested herself in circumventing them.

She utilized her seduction to manipulate others, using her desirable body as a weapon of distraction. Though she enjoyed sneaking through shadows, she was equally as comfortable appearing nude before the gaze of others.

A desire to serve The Empire at The God Emperor’s side remained her goal from a young age, seeking to become a close confidant to her father. Though she sought to earn his trust, hoping to add her own guidance to his grand designs, a deeper part of her desired to forge secrets with him that they may share together, her only method of displaying affection.
