Biography
A Father’s Agony
Born in a settlement in The Southern Human basin, Lavil spent his life as a hunter and warrior, serving to help feed and protect his people. He fell in love with a fellow member of his tribe, a woman who served as the settlement’s healer. After many years together, she gave birth to his only daughter, a girl they named Valia, before passing away years later. Lavil raised his daughter to become a capable warrior and hunter, hoping she would continue to contribute to their people as he had.
In the year 403 BVE, their settlement was raided and burned to the ground by a nomadic tribe. All but a dozen men and women were slaughtered in the battle. Only luck spared Lavil and Valia, for they were taken as prisoners alongside what few survivors remained of their people.
They were forced to march for many days across miles and miles through the rainforest, moving further south until they reached a stone structure, known as The Azira Temple, which their captors considered to be a holy site. The leader of the tribe, Chief Garix, selected Valia as the woman who would give birth to his heir. Binding her in the center of the chamber inside the structure, he bred Valia while Lavil and all others were forced to watch. Unable to save his daughter, Lavil lamented their fate, yearning for a day when a civilization would grow strong enough to protect the old and meek of the world from the blades of savages.
Falling pregnant, Valia was kept as Garix’s concubine. Lavil was permitted to live so long as he proved his value, kept as a slave. He worked to remain at his daughter’s side, watching as she was forced to have sex with their new master every night.
Valia eventually gave birth to Garix’s son, Garix The Red, who would go on to rule their tribe. Lavil spent his remaining years helping his daughter care for his grandson.
