Biography

A Sacrifice To Worms

Born as the daughter of The Chief of the Valia settlement, Lavia enjoyed the privilege her family’s position of power granted her. Possessing access to the small collection of historic texts and artifacts her people had preserved, her curiosity took hold at a young age. She began to doubt the existence of Azira, the goddess of her people, as she learned that her people had worshiped many forgotten gods and goddesses in the past. She began to argue with her father and those around her, attempting to convince them that their beliefs were flawed, yet she was unable to convince anyone.

In the year 206 BVE, her father enacted the ritual of selection, a process in which one of his daughters would be selected as an offering to Azira. As was tradition, the chosen daughter would be scarified by being bound and submerged in Azira Worms for ten days, believing the worms were living incarnations of their goddess, before being bred to produce The Chief’s heir. Lavia and her five sisters were placed in a circle, and a worm crawled towards her, selecting her as the sacrifice.

On the 8th of Fonic, Lavia was dragged to The Azira Temple. She was bound naked with her limbs spread in the bottom of the shallow pit in the center of the temple, and she was submerged in Azira Worms. Left for ten days, she was regularly visited by her father. Granted a tube to breath through, she was fed worms and forced to drink their slime, which contained a toxin that served as an extremely powerful aphrodisiac.

With every inch of her body sexually stimulated by the worms for days, and with her body flooded with aphrodisiac toxins, Lavia lost her mind. On the 18th of Fonic, she was pulled from the pit and brought into the center of Valia. Locked in a pillory outside the doors of Valia’s stronghold, she was bred by many men as they took turns while her family watched and prayed.

Her breeding resulted in the birth of Lavix III, though her mind was permanently ruined.

Please, if you’ll let me show you, if you’ll study our history, you’ll see that our people survived long before this belief in Azira took hold of us!”

Legacy

Though Lavia was unable to convince her people that their belief in Azira was flawed, her son, Chief Lavix III, would turn away from The Cult of Azira, initiating the slow fall of Azira worship.

As the mother of Chief Lavix III, she was the ancestor of many citizens living in The Valia District beneath The Vaid Empire.
