The tough orange skin of Taziks allows them to live comfortably in the hot desert environment of their homeland.
Their unique leg shape allows Taziks to stride across uneven ground and climb shifting sand dunes with ease.
Taziks possess two sets of eyes that allow them to look in multiple directions at once. Their advanced depth perception grants them the ability to precisely judge the distance of objects across vast stretches of land.
Though all purebred Taziks possess sharp horns, their length can vary due to genetic factors. Their positioning makes the use of a Tazik’s horns in combat impractical, reducing them to a mostly ceremonial and cultural role.

History and Culture
Creation
The Tazik species was created by Dorian The Creator, alongside Lanthians, Arkos, Lish, and Dril, after the formation of Ayphieal by modifying the genome of a pair of humans aboard The Chimira. The pair were kept comatose in large biological tanks while The Creator slowly modified and mutated their genes over the course of several month, gradually transforming into the first Taziks on Ayphieal.
Dorian allowed the pair, a male and female, to breed shortly after their creation to assess their fertility and viability. After the female gave birth to the first Tazik offspring, he used the new mates as templates to create an additional one thousand pairs from the original human volunteers aboard The Chimira.
When he was satisfied with his new creations, Dorian placed the Tazik population deep in the scorching desert that covered the northernmost lands of Magnius, beside the gigantic lake oasis were The City of Arash now stands.
