Importance
Dorian The Creator was the creator of the universe. Forging the planet of Ayphieal, the sun, and the moons, he filled the world with life. He created the vast collection of plants and wildlife that cover the planet, and he manipulated the genes of humans taken from his original dimension to create the humanoid species inhabiting Ayphieal. As the father of God Emperor Dominax I, he was worshiped as a god by the population of The Vaid Empire.
Biography
Birth Of A New World
Before there was time, before there was space, Dorian’s will gave birth to the universe. Little is known of his true origins, though he existed long before the creation of Ayphieal. Hailing from an unknown dimension, he used his power to rip a tear in the fabric of reality and stepped into a new dimension solely of his creation.
Alone in an empty void, he gradually expanded the hole in reality into a new universe. He forged the emptiness into space and time, and within his new dimension his power manipulated the fabric of reality to bring the planet of Ayphieal into being. A dark universe was given light when he created the sun, a glowing man-sized orb. The eight moons were placed in their careful orbits by his hand, completing his vision.
With the universe formed, he brought forth The Chimira from his original universe, a massive flying vessel made of white chimira steel, his home.
Life Upon Ayphieal
After laboring for a decade to create the universe, Ayphieal was little more than a barren rock. Dorian sought to fill it with life. Using the powers of his blood, he brought his first living creation into existence, a tiny mass of tentacles that he named Onaalag. He placed the creature upon the surface of the world, the first inhabitant of Ayphieal. Before there were trees, before there were plants, there was only Onaalag.
Pleased with his creation, Dorian created the vegetation. While Onaalag made his home with in a cave beneath a hill, the empty dirt around him blossomed with trees of every color. They grew to cover the first continent with a dense jungle.
As Onaalag was the only sentient being inhabiting the planet, alone among the trees, Dorian sought to fill the jungle with his creations. He attempted to bring forth new entities, yet in doing so he created only monstrosities. Malformed horrors of all shapes and sizes were brought into existence. Those that proved viable bred, spreading across the first continent, while those too sickly or malformed died off. Despairing at his failures, he watched as the continent was infested with abominations.
After a decade of producing only monstrosities, The Creator abandoned the first continent.
Realizing he could not create sapient life, Dorian sought other means. He returned to his original universe and brought forth twelve thousand members of his own species, humans. Keeping them aboard The Chimira, he used the science facilities aboard his vessel to modify their genes, choosing to perfect his own kind if he could not create them on his own.
“Though I did not originally create humanity, I’ve made…modifications. Slight changes in DNA…in the hopes of perfecting what humans could become. For example, your complete lack of body hair…as well as an optimized digestive tract…that produces no waste and requires less sustenance. Humanity upon Ayphieal…is FAR different from your original source. The biological gifts I’ve granted your people…must surely count for something.”
– Dorian, To Dominax, 4 AVE.
With humanity improved and altered to fit his designs, his attention settled upon the second continent on the opposite side of Ayphieal, a place that would one day be called Magnius, far from his failures. He unleashed the first one thousand pairs of male and female humans upon the world, placing them in the most fertile and temperate location in all of Ayphieal, the very spot that the future Great City of Visti now sits. In the year 1007 BVE, the first humans breathed the air of Ayphieal.
Successfully planting sapient life upon his new world, Dorian watched the population from aboard The Chimira. Inspired by their progress and struggle, he sought to go further. He knew humanity would always struggle to live in the harsher regions of Magnius, and thus he sought to design beings better tailored to the unforgiving lands across the continent.
Selecting ten humans from the passengers still aboard The Chimira, dividing them into five pairs each with a male and female, he kept them comatose in large biological while he slowly mutated and altered their genes. Over the course of several months, they slowly began to change, becoming the first Lanthians, Arkos, Dril, Lish, and Taziks. He allowed the pairs to mate to test if they were fertile, and after studying their offspring, he used the pairs as templates to create an additional one thousand pairs of each new humanoid species using the original human passengers.
With his new creations completed, he seeded them across Magnius, each species designed to thrive within their selected environment. In the year 1005 BVE, Lanthians were placed deep within the southern jungle of Magnius. The Arkos were placed upon the black dunes of the western desert. The Dril were granted the frozen tundra in the East. The Lish were unleashed within the crimson swamps of the Southeast. The last, the Taziks, were left at the edge of a massive oasis deep within the northern desert. Though humanity had a head start, Dorian watched as the other humanoid species gradually spread across their new homelands.
Though he was satisfied by his creations, the shame of his previous failures remained. Hoping to salvage the infested half of the planet, his attention returned to the first continent.
In 928 BVE, a full century after the creation of Ayphieal, he modified the genes of hybrids he had intentionally bred using the original six humanoid species of Magnius, creating the first Cavaries. Knowing they would struggle to survive among the terrible abominations he had created, hoping they would thrive and one day pacify the wild continent, he designed them with keen senses and an increased fertility to allow their population to grow swiftly. Placing them at the site of his first creation, finding Onaalag still dwelling within his cave, he left his new species atop the hill deep within the first jungle.
To his surprise, however, he discovered that Onaalag had grown greatly, becoming an intelligent and bizarre being. The great tentacled beast agreed to assist the population of Cavaries, offering guidance as he whispered his thoughts into the minds around him.
With the Cavaries under the care of Onaalag, Dorian spent years surveying the first continent. Using the same method he had employed to create the Cavaries, he seeded the less dangerous areas of the continent and the coasts, with other humanoids. Mere experiments, however, he left them grow while he returned to Magnius.
Fall Of The Cavaries
After completing his projects and populating the world, Dominax spent the vast majority of his time observing the various populations inhabiting Magnius, choosing to allow the growing populations to develop without his interference. His interest in the first continent never vanished, however, for Dorian returned every ten years to assess the progress of the Cavaries. He gradually watched while their settlement grew into a great city known as Aslyd with Onaalag’s guidance.
On the 20th of Onis, 768 BVE, he observed the Cavaries for the final time before their fall. As he did every decade, he positioned The Chimira to hover above Aslyd. The population worshiped him below as he spent several days observing them and documenting their progress using the instruments aboard his vessel before departing.

The centuries, however, took a toll upon him, and eventually the power of his soul was too much for his body to bear. His flesh perished, though his soul clung to reality, using his power to remain as an anchored spirit upon Ayphieal for decades.
