Importance
The Chimira was the mysterious and gargantuan vessel of The Creator. Since the creation of Ayphieal, it hovered above the world, and it was the vessel upon which all humanoid species were created upon.
History
Before The Universe
Originating from Dorian‘s original dimension, The Chimira’s true age is unknown. It was the first and oldest structure to exist in the universe, having been transported into the universe shortly after the creation of Ayphieal.
Eternal Watcher
Since the creation of the world, The Chimira has hovered above Ayphieal’s surface, acting as the home of The Creator. It hovered over The First Continent for a decade while Dorian created life upon the surface of the planet.
After he abandoned the continent, realizing he could not create sapient life of his own, he and his vessel returned to his original universe and brought forth twelve thousand members of his own species, humans. Keeping them aboard The Chimira, he used the science facilities aboard his vessel to modify their genes, perfecting them to aid in their survival. The Chimira traveled to the second continent of Ayphieal, Magnius, and deposited the first one thousand pairs of male and female humans upon the world in the year 1007 BVE.
The Creator watched the progress of the humans from aboard The Chimira, The Creator began to further modify the genes of the remaining ten thousand humans aboard his vessel. In the depths of The Chimira, the first Lanthians, Arkos, Dril, Lish, and Taziks were created. The Chimira traveled across the continent, depositing the new species in each region of the continent. Hovering above the world, The Chimira allowed The Creator to monitor the progress of his new creations for generations.
In the year 928 BVE, Dorian used The Chimira to return to The First Continent. Seeking to rectify his failures, he brought a vast collection of hybrids from all the humanoid species of Magnius with him, modifying their genes to create the first Cavaries. The new species was placed deep in the jungle.
With the Cavaries deposited upon Ayphieal, Dorian spent years surveying the first continent aboard The Chimira. Using the same method he had employed to create the Cavaries, he seeded the less dangerous areas of the continent and the coasts with other humanoids. Mere experiments, however, he left them grow while he and his vessel returned to Magnius.
For several generations, The Chimira traveled between the two continents. While primarily remaining in place above The Human Basin to observe, it returned to The First Continent once every decade to assess the progress of the Cavaries. As the centuries passed, the Cavaries built The Holy City of Aslyd, and they welcomed The Chimira’s arrival with prayers. During each return, it hovered over the city while The Creator watched his creations from above, staying only for a few months before returning to Magnius.

Structure
Overall Shape
The Chimira was a flying vessel made of white chimira steel with smaller details etched into its great hull made of black chimira steel. Though miles long, it resembled a massive seafaring vessel, possessing a pointed bow and a large superstructure atop the rear of the ship. Possessing technology well beyond the understanding of even the most advanced civilizations of Ayphieal, it seemed to spit fire from massive holes at its rear which allowed it to hover in the air.
The Pod
In the year 27 BVE, a small section of The Chimira was ejected from the vessel and sent down to Ayphieal’s surface in The Human Basin. Known as The Pod, the structure was a cube the size of a two-story building made of white and black metal. It held a single large and circular chamber with a massive symbol of a crescent moon etched into its floor. The ceiling of the chamber was in the shape of a large dome.
In the year 4 BVE, construction began on a massive pyramidal fortress around The Pod, designed by Lord Lalian to act as the home of God Emperor Dominax. The structure was completed in 12 AVE, known as The Grand Pyramid. The Pod, incorporated as a chamber in the very center of the fortress’s foundation, was renamed to The Chamber of Deliverance in the year 9 AVE, before the pyramid’s completion.
