Devotion

Upon reaching maturity, Thuron was one of many free young men over the course of Aslyd history who displayed deep devotion to their Knowledge Holder by pledging themselves as the personal slave of their ruler. Raised during the reign of Knowledge Holder Mauron, Thuron committed the remainder of his life to his new master.

To show his extreme devotion, he, like all those who came before him, voluntarily accepted castration, though of a unique sort. Rather than having his testicles removed, only the shaft of his manhood was cut off. Left permanently aroused with no means of pleasuring himself, forever unable to sire children, Thuron accepted his suffering as a holy act of sacrifice for his ruler.

As the personal slave of The Knowledge Holder, he became his master’s most trusted servant.

Fall

In the year 768 BVE, Mauron trusted Thuron with the most horrid commands he had ever uttered, for he instructed his slave to gather a group of warriors that could be trusted above any other. The Knowledge Holder tasked them with murdering The Great Onaalag, the massive tentacled beast beneath The City of Aslyd that granted The Knowledge Holders their knowledge. Ever loyal, Thuron obeyed. On the 19th of Fixuin, Mauron gave the command to act, and his slave delivered the order. The creature their people had worshiped for generations was murdered, and the deed was concealed as a natural death. Thuron endured the burden of knowing the truth, alongside his master.

Voluntarily denied of reproduction, he sired no children, and thus his bloodline ended with him. Only his ashes remain as a reminder that he ever existed, a fate he willingly chose to honor his master.
