Importance

Onaalag was the first living creation of The Creator to inhabit Ayphieal. Older than the first trees, plants, wildlife, he was given life when the world was little more than a barren rock. He guided the first Cavaries to ascend from the dangers of the deep jungle of The First Continent, granting them knowledge that allowed them to build The Holy City of Aslyd. Able to see time itself, he later took Aifa as his servant, granting her his child and setting her upon a path that was intended to bring his plans for the future into reality.

Biography

Creation

Ten years after Dorian The Creator forged the universe, when the planet of Ayphieal was little more than a barren rock, he used his power to bring Onaalag into existence from nothing. He was placed upon the surface of the world, the first inhabitant of Ayphieal. Before there were trees, before there were plants, there was only Onaalag.

Failed Monstrosities

As he was little more than a tiny mass of tentacles, Onaalag took refuge inside a cave beneath a hill. The years passed as The Creator filled his new world with life. The empty dirt of the surrounding landscape gave way to trees, growing until his cave was surrounded by a dense jungle.

Having successfully created new life, The Creator sought to fill his world with his creations. He attempted to bring forth new entities, yet in doing so he created only monstrosities. Malformed horrors of all shapes and sizes began to fill the jungle. Those that proved viable bred, spreading across The First Continent of Ayphieal, while those too sickly or malformed died off. After a decade of failure after failure, The Creator abandoned The First Continent.

Rise Of The Cavaries

In the absence of The Creator, Onaalag grew greatly, lurking inside his lair beneath the hill in the center of the deep jungle. A century later, during the year 928 BVE, The Creator brought the Cavari species into existence and placed them atop the hill. Rediscovering his first creation, he spoke with the great beast. Onaalag agreed to assist the new population of humanoids atop his hill.

While The Creator departed to watch over his other creations on the far side of the planet, he returned to assess the Cavaries every decade. In his absence, Onaalag used his powers to whisper ideas and knowledge into a single man’s mind. Eventually becoming known as the first Knowledge holder, a man worshiped by his fellow Cavaries as their ruler for being blessed by the great beast beneath them, he spoke Onaalag’s words. The Cavaries used the knowledge he granted them to survive the dangerous jungle and grow their civilization quickly, founding The Holy City of Aslyd. Whenever a Knowledge Holder died, Onaalag selected a new one to rule over the growing population.

A great black wall was built around Aslyd to keep out the monstrosities outside, while a massive Ziggurat was constructed atop Onaalag’s hill using the methods he granted them. In return for his knowledge, The Great One, as they began to call him, requested only to have his ingrained needs satisfied. He was granted a fertile young woman every few months, sacrifices that he impregnated, as his nature required of him. Known as Holy Mothers by the Cavaries, such women had their bellies cut open by priestesses and their tentacled children cast into the fire atop The Ziggurat to prevent Onaalag’s spawn from spreading and consuming the world.

Visions Of Apocalypse

In his lair deep beneath Aslyd, enjoying the bodies of Cavari sacrifices, Onaalag’s aims were not to see the Cavaries thrive, however. Experiencing time in a different manner than the humanoids, he saw a future in which the magnum opus of creation would arise. He saw The Artist, a being far more powerful than himself, far in the future, learning the creature’s true name.

Synaalag.

Seeing every action and step that would be required to ensure such a future occurred, he planted the seeds of his own fate. Whispering visions of the future into the current Knowledge Holder’s head, a man named Mauron, he showed him scenes of his tentacled descendants consuming the world. Driven to madness by visions of the coming apocalypse, The Knowledge Holder committed himself to murder Onaalag.

Knowing no other path would lead to the future he craved, Onaalag waited to play his part. He foresaw the rise of The Red Vessel after his coming death, a Cavari woman that would birth his only surviving child and unleash his descendants upon the world.

The Red Vessel

On the 12th of Onis, 768 BVE, a new group of potential Holy Mothers was captured and brought to Aslyd. Presented to The Knowledge Holder, he tested them by asking the true name of The Creator. Sensing the future Red Vessel among them, he whispered the answer into her mind. She unknowingly sealed her own fate by speaking the name, proving she was The Great One’s chosen womb. She was sealed as the next Holy Mother by Mauron and escorted into Onaalag’s lair beneath the ziggurat.

Though she feared her fate, she was powerless to fight back. Onaalag’s tentacles restrained her body and violated her, pleasuring her until her resistance utterly shattered. When she was reduced to his servant, he impregnated her with his offspring, Nula-bal.

He kept her restrained and denied of stimulation for several days while nurturing her. On the 18th of Onis, he subjected Aifa to merciless torture in which he denied her orgasms for several hours before overwhelming her with endless climaxes, repeating the process for several days. Pleasuring her well beyond what she was capable of enduring, he shattered her mind entirely and slowly rebuilt it to fit his aims. As if reborn, Aifa admitted her love for her master, sealing her loyally as his pawn.

Onaalag tended to her while her pregnancy advanced over the course of several months. On the 19th of Fixuin, he warned her that his time was short. Seeking to reward her dedication, he pleasured her a final time.

Hours later, as he had planned, Mauron’s warriors entered his lair. They attacked, stabbing his tentacles with spears and burning his slimy body with torches. Knowing his loss was necessary, he did not fight back. Instead, he freed Aifa and used all of his remaining strength to mentally guide her through the twisting passages at the rear of the cave, leading her up to the surface to escape the warriors. With the knowledge that his offspring had been unleashed into the world, Onaalag perished.

The oldest living being upon Ayphieal, The Creator’s first creation, died a violent death to usher in the future.

Traits

Physical Appearance

Onaalag was a great mass of black tentacles. The tip of each of his dark tentacles glowed a bioluminescent red. His massive form dripped with clear slime that produced a powerful aphrodisiac effect, for even a single drop could make a person’s skin tingle where it touched for an extended period of time.

He possessed no head, no eyes, no mouth, or any other identifiable features beyond his mass of tentacles. He was a horrifying, inhuman monster.

Personality

An all-knowing and extremely intelligent creature, Onaalag had little compassion. He saw every event, tragic or triumphant, as nothing more than key points in time, all leading to the future he sought to create. Every action he took was in service to the act of creation.

Powers

Onaalag, like his tentacled descendants, experienced time differently than the ordinary beings of Ayphieal. Able to see the shifting future, he knew what actions would create the outcomes he sought.

Deeply aware of the structure of his reality, Onaalag could reach out through the fabric of reality and whisper into the minds of those around him. He was able to grant them visions and manipulate their minds, controlling their pleasure and swaying their thoughts. His whispers were about to coax extreme arousal in his victims. His thoughts were incompatible with nearly all males, causing them to lose their minds, though all females were vulnerable to his mental whispers.

Sexual Proclivities

Sexuality

Obsessed with the act of creation, Onaalag had an ingrained need to impregnate any fertile womb he came into contact with, requiring many young women from the Cavari population to be sacrificed as offerings to satisfy his natural needs. He passed his deep instinct to breed onto his descendants.

Sexual Experiences

Legacy

Onaalag’s plans and sacrifice directly leaded to both the fall of the Cavari species, and the creation of Synaalag. Countless beings were both killed and born solely as a result of his actions, utterly shifting the fate of the world across many centuries to create the future he sought.
