Description
The planet Ayphieal is the great heart of the universe and the only planet that exists in the realm forged by The Creator‘s will. All living beings are born, live, and die upon its surface. Two vast continents lay on opposite sides of the world, The First Continent and Magnius, separated by deep oceans brimming with monstrosities.
Ayphieal is a giant stationary mass fixed in space, orbited by a glowing man-sized orb known as the sun.
Eight moons orbit Ayphieal in a perfect ring, passing over both continents. They make a full rotation around the planet every fifty days, acting as the basis of the calendar used by The Vaid Empire of Magnius. Named after each moon, the current month is determined by which moon is highest in the sky at midday every fifty days. Starting with Onis and ending with Iahta, every year consists of eight months, exactly four hundred days each.
History
Birth Of A New World
Before there was time, before there was space, only Dorian existed. Hailing from an unknown dimension, his will gave birth to the universe when he used his power to rip a tear in the fabric of reality and stepped into a new dimension solely of his creation.
Alone in an empty void, he gradually expanded the hole in reality into a new universe. He forged the emptiness into space and time, and within his new dimension his power manipulated the fabric of reality to bring the planet of Ayphieal into being. A dark universe was given light when he created the sun, a glowing man-sized orb. The eight moons were placed in their careful orbits by his hand, completing his vision.
Life Upon Ayphieal
After laboring for a decade to create the universe, Ayphieal was little more than a barren rock. Dorian sought to fill it with life. Using the powers of his blood, he brought his first living creation into existence, a tiny mass of tentacles that he named Onaalag. He placed the creature upon the surface of the world, the first inhabitant of Ayphieal. Before there were trees, before there were plants, there was only Onaalag.
Pleased with his creation, Dorian created the vegetation. He created trees and plants of every imaginable shape and color, allowing them to cover The First Continent of Ayphieal with a dense jungle.
As Onaalag was the only sentient being inhabiting the planet, alone among the trees, Dorian sought to fill the new jungle with creatures. He attempted to bring forth new entities in existence born solely from his power, yet in doing so he created only monstrosities, malformed horrors of all shapes and sizes. Those that proved viable bred, spreading across The First Continent, while those too sickly or malformed quickly died off. Despairing at his failures, he watched as the continent was infested with abominations. After a decade of producing only monstrosities, The Creator abandoned The First Continent.
Realizing he could not create sapient life, Dorian sought other means. He returned to his original universe and brought forth twelve thousand members of his own species, humans. Keeping them aboard The Chimira, his great flying vessel, he used the science facilities aboard to modify their genes, choosing to perfect his own kind if he could not create them on his own. With humanity improved and altered to fit his designs, his attention settled upon the second continent on the opposite side of Ayphieal, a place that would one day be called Magnius, far from his failures. He unleashed the first one thousand pairs of male and female humans upon the world, placing them in the most fertile and temperate location in all of Ayphieal, the very spot that the future Great City of Visti would stand. In the year 1007 BVE, the first humans breathed the air of Ayphieal. In the most fertile lands of The Human Basin, the first hint of civilization was created on Ayphieal when the humans founded their first settlement, the site of their future Great City.
Successfully planting sapient life upon his new world, Dorian sought to go further. He knew humanity would always struggle to live in the harsher regions of Magnius, and thus he sought to design beings better tailored to the unforgiving lands across the continent.
Selecting ten humans from the passengers still aboard The Chimira, dividing them into five pairs each with a male and female, he kept them comatose in large biological while he slowly mutated and altered their genes. Over the course of several months, they slowly began to change, becoming the first Lanthians, Arkos, Dril, Lish, and Taziks. He allowed the pairs to mate to test if they were fertile, and after studying their offspring, he used the pairs as templates to create an additional one thousand pairs of each new humanoid species using the original human passengers.
With his new creations completed, he seeded them across Magnius. In the year 1005 BVE, Lanthians were placed deep within the southern jungle of Magnius. The Arkos were placed upon the black dunes of the western desert. The Dril were granted the frozen tundra in the East. The Lish were unleashed within the crimson swamps of the Southeast. The last, the Taziks, were left at the edge of a massive oasis deep within the northern desert. Though humanity had a head start, Dorian watched as the other humanoid species gradually spread across their new homelands.
Though he was satisfied by his creations, the shame of his previous failures remained. Hoping to salvage the infested half of the planet, his attention returned to The First Continent in the 928 BVE. Hoping to rectify his mistakes, The Creator modified the genes of selectively bred hybrids descending from the original six humanoid species of Magnius to create the first Cavaries with the hope that they would tame the deep jungle of The First Continent. So too did he spend years seeding the less dangerous areas of the continent and the coasts with other new humanoid species, lesser experiments.
Placed atop the hill under which Onaalag dwelled, the Cavaries were guided by The Creator’s first creation to found The Holy City of Aslyd, the first true city upon all of Ayphieal. Though the tiny human settlement of Visti was decades older, the various populations of Magnius progressed far slower than the Cavaries, and thus the inhabitants of The First Continent’s deep jungle were the first to build their expansive city of stone, protected by their Great Wall.
Scar Upon The First Continent
In the year 766 BVE, The Holy City of Aslyd in the deep jungle of The First Continent was destroyed by a Cavari woman named Aifa, The Mother of Tentacles. Using a horde of tentacled beasts descended from Onaalag, she slaughtered the majority of her own kind and enslaved the survivors. Returning from watching over Magnius in 758 BVE, The Creator was horrified to discover the fate of his creations. Hoping to save the rest of Ayphieal from the spread of the tentacled swarm, he used his powers to rip the deep jungle from the planet and banish the infested land into a new realm of darkness, forever sealed away in a separate universe.
With the center of The First Continent ripped away, a massive and deep basin was left behind where the deep jungle had once been. It gradually filled with water from the ocean to form a new sea, and the Cavari species became little more than a myth told by the surrounding humanoid species.
Conquest Of Magnius
As the centuries passed, the humanoid species of Magnius gradually developed into sprawling civilizations.

Continents
The First Continent
The oldest land upon Ayphieal, The First Continent is were the first life was created. Much of the land is covered by a vast jungle filled with bizarre vegetation of every shape and color possible. The most dangerous creatures on all of Ayphieal, save for within the oceans, inhabit the colorful trees of The First Continent.
In the year 758 BVE, the center of the continent, the deep jungle, was torn from Ayphieal by The Creator, leaving behind a massive sea where it once stood.
Magnius
The second continent to be created, Magnius was the home of the first humans on Ayphieal. It consists of six distinct regions. The Human Basin, the center of the continent, was primarily the home of humans. To the south, The Lanthian Jungle was the homeland of the Lanthians. To the west, The Wandering Desert was the land of the Arkos.
